Swallow Tree is small and peaceful with beautiful grounds and spectacular sea views. Swallow Tree Bay, a small cove, is just a short woodland walk away, while the main beach at Saundersfoot holds the prestigious European Blue Flag award for excellent water quality and is both lifeguarded and dog free during the summer months.

Pembrokeshire offers so many diverse and beautiful beaches; you will find yourself spoilt for choice. Our seaward boundary allows direct access to the 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, heaven for anyone who enjoys dramatic coastal scenery, walking and bird watching.

Surrounding area

Pembrokeshire is the only coastal National Park in Britain and has so much to offer its visitors. It is a county of glorious beaches, spectacular coastal scenery, unspoilt countryside, picturesque villages and limestone castles steeped in history. It is peopled by locals known for their friendliness and their pride in their beautiful country.

Pembrokeshire has been showered in recent years; Tenby beaches were awarded 5th place out of the Top 10 beaches in the UK by Trip Advisor, then the National Geographic traveller magazine placed the Pembrokeshire Coast 2nd in the world for the Best Coastal Destination (joint with New Zealand!) and Lonely Planet has decreed the All Wales Coast Path as the Best Destination on Earth to visit in 2012, with special mention of Barafundle beach and St Davids.

Sailing, wind-surfing, scuba-diving, paragliding, water-skiing, swimming, boating and fishing excursions are available from Saundersfoot and Tenby. The off-shore islands offer tranquility and interest, and the whole area is paradise for the walker, bird watcher, naturalist and fisherman. Small craft workshops abound, and the newer theme parks and attractions provide amusement for the whole family.

The Glen Beach and Monkstone Beach are quieter beaches within walking distance of Swallow Tree and, with a little inside information, it is still possible to enjoy an uncrowded corner of our county even in the busiest of weeks.

We feel sure that your family would enjoy Pembrokeshire and we would be delighted to extend a warm welcome to you at Swallow Tree.
